Carolyn P. Michener
Managing Partner
Carolyn graduated summa cum laude from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2016. Immediately after graduating, Carolyn spent a year clerking for the Hon. Charles R. Simpson III in the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. She then practiced at Stites & Harbison PLLC in the firm’s business litigation practice group for several years, where she handled a wide array of matters including complex business disputes, financial services litigation, real estate litigation, legal malpractice defense, and product liability defense.
Carolyn is licensed to practice in Kentucky and Indiana and is also a member of the federal bar in both states. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association, and Indiana State Bar Association. Carolyn has been recognized in Kentucky Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2020-2024 and in Best Lawyers in America as One to Watch in Commercial Litigation and Product Liability Litigation – Defendants from 2023-2024.
Outside of the office, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Liam, and their kids. She is also an avid supporter of the arts. Carolyn served as a Fund for the Arts NeXtGen Board Member from 2020-2023 after serving as a Fund for the Arts NeXt Ambassador, Class of 2020.
